MONEY. CAN IT MAKE YOU HAPPY?
WHAT CAN MONEY BUY?
MONEY CAN’T BUY HAPPINESS…..I think that phrase may have been coined (pun intended)(I live for a great pun) by someone who probably had a sufficient supply of cash to live comfortably without worrying about paying the electric bill.
Money can buy freedom. Freedom from anxiety. Freedom from worrying about having the lights shut off. Money can be traded for the latest in electronic technology. It can be used for any necessary service, or tangible item you can think of but, can it buy happiness?
Not directly but, it can be used for things and, especially necessary services that when paid, bring you peace of mind.
I submit that peace of mind is a component of happiness. That being the case, I further submit money can purchase happiness.
Admittedly I may be dealing in the world of the abstract but, on the cusp of reality.
Money can’t buy happiness. But money can rent it for awhile.
Money can’t buy happiness but it can buy a better class of unhappiness. In all seriousness, money alone cannot bring happiness or why wuld celebrities and pop stars with more money than many of us could ever aquire over several lifetimes would not end up in rehab time and time again. I feel better about myself and the world when I have a sense of security.Money plays a part in achieving that. If I could pay the rent without money, I would.
Money can’t buy happiness, but I just can’t afford to be sad right now. I think the phrase “all things in moderation” is appropriate. If I have ENOUGH money to pay my expenses, and allow my wife and family to be comfortable, that all I really need.

Love the banner pic. Like light thru glass. Beautiful. I crave security and financial woes stress me out to infinity. I will never be rich but hope to be able to support myself and to retire in dignity in 11 years (age 66). Good to have you back, and blog change is a good thing. I did the same. Trying to avoid being negative on my own site. As you know I can be a sharp tongued devil when I let myself and my talents express themselves in this manner. Now I am choosing not to be this way anymore. I done hung up my wild west guns.
