GBRC is still on the list

Good morning!  Time for a second cup, and the beginning of another day at 430am.

My taxes  have been signed, and sent.  I am anxiously awaiting the return as I graduate from speculating in penny stocks with monopoly money, and begin speculating with the real thing.

The first stock I  bought with monopoly money was 100 shares of Global Resource at $1.42.  I got in on the high side.  I gave myself $1000 of monopoly money, and bolted off the chair.  Not to worry, I balanced my position when the stock dipped to .80, and bought another 100 shares.  My average buy is now at 1.11, and at last look it was selling at approximately 1.20.  So far, I’m pretty close to even when you consider brokerage fees.

I plan on holding these shares long term as I can see the value in the patents the company holds.  It is simply explained as microwave technology used to extract gas, and oil from used auto parts.  The technology is being further developed for the medical field.

Once some major contracts are signed, sealed, and delivered I see the possibilities for this company to become a common household name.  What may be even more important is what I don’t see or, might be overlooking to prevent that from happening.

I have paraphrased statements from other pages of people more experienced than I am at speculating in small company stocks.  The statement is the English version of legalities, and appears below.

              PLAYTIME WITH WORDS

Let me qualify what you’re about to read by saying, I have been told my sense of humor seems to find a new bottom every time it is unleashed….Are you ready?

A man got a new job bagging groceries but, they could only give him part time hours. As there was not enough money to pay all the bills, he was able to find a second job working in a shoe store. The hours required at each job began to conflict with eachother, and finally he had to quit one of the jobs proving……….

BAGGERS CANT BE SHOESERS

MONEY. CAN IT MAKE YOU HAPPY?

money22.gif WHAT CAN MONEY BUY?

MONEY CAN’T BUY HAPPINESS…..I think that phrase may have been coined (pun intended)(I live for a great pun) by someone who probably had a sufficient supply of cash to live comfortably without worrying about paying the electric bill.

Money can buy freedom.  Freedom from anxiety.  Freedom from worrying about having the lights shut off. Money can be traded for the latest in electronic technology.  It can be used for  any necessary service, or tangible item you can think of but, can it buy happiness?

Not directly but,  it can be used for things and, especially necessary services that when paid,  bring you peace of mind.

I submit that peace of mind is a component of happiness.  That being the case, I further submit money can purchase happiness.

Admittedly I may be dealing in the world of the abstract but, on the cusp of reality.

CHANGES

•February 14, 2007 • Leave a Comment

The changes are coming.
                      An evolution,
                            A metamorphosis.

When you’ve hit bottom with no hope, accompanied with a treated depression you either do the unthinkable or, live in constant fear.  Or…

DEPARTURE FROM THE NEGATIVE

I have been blogging elsewhere for quite awhile with a narrow focus on politics.  I became consumed with my extreme disdain for President Bush, and the previous Congress.

Many vicious, negative comments were thrown around in this community of bloggers between Republicans, and Democrats.  I tend to believe that they are all a part of the same sphere anyway, and could easily be identified as Republicrats, and Demopublicans.

It has gotten to where this country is no more important than being aligned with your favorite sports team.  In this instance,  political teams but, you get the idea.  Issues irrelevant as for content but, rather the source being of prime importance.

Government (Dems. and Repubs. alike) has been paving the way at every intersection.   Their due diligence has paid off for somebody.  Certainly not the eroding middle class’ as we  rightly proceed to our new place in this greed driven society as ‘the working poor.’

Without going into more detail let me just say that as I became completely immersed in this whole scenario, it consumed every facet of my life.  That set the stage for a funk that took me to the bottom.

This is not a condemnation of politics, political blogs or, any political community sincerely trying to improve this country.  To the contrary, it is a comment on my reaction, and the manifestation of that reaction.

EMERGING TO THE POSITIVE

I am thankfully beginning a journey forward.  Even as a member of the ‘working poor’ it can be done.

This blog will not be a platform for Americans to echo nasty, and otherwise thoughtless superficial comments at each other because they are on different political teams.

This blog will not be about politics but, rather my emergence to a new positive level in spite of the existence of politics.

I have new projects in the works  as I move to a new positive level.  The momentum has begun, and future entries to this blog will bring this to the surface.

I plan on a great day!  Hope whomever is reading this has much the same!
